Turquoise Bracelet and Earings

May 11, 2010

I don’t know about you but being the end of the school year I have a few gifts to give.   Why not give a homemade piece of jewelry as a special gift for graduating.  I like projects I can finish quickly otherwise it gets set on the back burner and I may not get to it.  The bracelet and earings took me all of 20 minutes but it looks so cute.  All you need is few supplies and your on your way to having some new jewelry.

I bought my supplies at Michael’s Craft store and Hobby Lobby but you don’t have to go to both they were on separate occasions that I found some things I liked.  I suggest if you do not have any beading materials to buy a kit, it’s a little bit cheaper than buying things separately.

beads of choice

stetchy beading string

2 eye pins (for earings)

earing wire

round nose pilers

  • bracelets are typically 7 in long.  so measure your string
  • I decided to string  on my beads then measure how long the bracelet was going to be.
  • after I strung the beads then I tied the two ends together and made two knots on top of each other and pulled tight.  Then I add some super glue to the knot so it won’t come undone.

  • get  your 2 eye pins and add the bead to it.  Run the eye pin through the earing wire and use your pliers to twist the eye pin wire so it closes up the gap and the bead won’t come off, that’s it.
