Green Products and Earth Day Projects

April 22, 2010

Happy Earth Day ! I wanted to share a few green products I’ve tried and really like.  I bought them at because I live in a place that doesn’t have many green products to choose from.  Although, I bet Walgreens might have these but they sometimes are expensive there.

I tried the laundry detergent because my son is allergic to many types of detergents and softeners.  It seemed to work well but doesn’t soap up like we expect it too.

Seventh Generation - Natural Laundry Detergent, Blue Eucalyptus & Lavender Scent, 2x Ultra - 50 fl oz

The Lavender cleaning solution works great in my bathroom as a cleaner but I’m going to start using it in the kitchen too.  I just put it in one of my old cleaning bottles and mix with water and that’s it.  Try this I think you like it.

de-luxe - MAISON All-Purpose Concentrate Cleaner, Lavender Spruce - 33 fl oz

This body wash is excellent, I highly recommend it and it smells so good too.  There is no animal testing, it’s all natural oils, plant based product that is good for you and the environment.

de-luxe - BAIN Body Wash, Rosemary Mint - 17 fl oz

An earth friendly project is this bath toy holder that Two Chicks and a Hen created out of vegetable mesh bags you get at the grocery store.

I saved my veggie bag the other day after shopping for using as a scrub-y while doing dishes.

Check out what the crafty crow and other bloggers do with plastic lids.
